Before you request an estimate

List large furniture, box counts and anything that needs disassembly.Identify pianos, safes and heavy pieces; note approximate weight and dimensions.Share stairs, elevators, long carries and parking at both addresses.

Once your moving plan is confirmed

Reserve the elevator and loading area with your building.Confirm any certificate-of-insurance or access requirements in advance.Review your written estimate and confirm packing materials and extra stops.

The day before your move

Label boxes by destination room and keep walkways clear.Keep jewelry, medication, keys and important documents with you.Prepare a first-night bag with chargers, toiletries and essentials.

A few things to leave out of moving boxes.

Keep irreplaceable personal items with you. Do not pack hazardous, flammable or leaking materials. Tell the team about fragile or unusual pieces before the appointment so handling can be reviewed.
