How we use information shared through the SoCal Movers website.
Your moving request
The request form collects the contact details, move details, inventory and access information you provide. SoCal Movers uses this information to review your request, prepare an estimate and communicate with you about your move.
Address suggestions
As you type a pickup or destination address, we send the address-search text through our server to Photon, an OpenStreetMap-based search service operated by komoot, to find possible matches. Your name, phone, email and separate apartment/unit fields are not included in those search requests. Our server may keep results in temporary memory for up to five minutes to reduce repeated lookups; it does not save search text in the customer database unless you submit your moving request. You can enter an address manually if no match is available. Address suggestions are not confirmation of service availability or a verified driving route. Photon · OpenStreetMap contributors.
Website source information
We record available campaign tags and advertising click identifiers, the referring website’s hostname and the first and latest observed source within your browser session to understand how inquiries reach us. These details are stored separately from the source you select in the form. Visit-source details use this browser’s session storage and accompany your submitted request; the moving checklist stores only which boxes you checked. Customer form details are not saved in browser storage by this website.
Website analytics
We use a separate Google Analytics property for the SoCal Movers public website to understand visits, campaign sources, quote-request clicks, phone-link clicks and successfully saved inquiries. Google Analytics may use browser cookies and process website usage information. We do not send your form answers, name, contact details, moving addresses or inquiry reference as analytics event parameters. Staff and customer-document pages and test-site visits are excluded. The analytics script does not load when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Service providers and access
Website hosting and communications services process information needed to support the request and moving-service workflow. The office’s inquiry and follow-up screens require staff sign-in. Please avoid including payment-card information, passwords or other sensitive information in the request notes.
